Air Arabia, a low-cost carrier in West Asia and North Africa launched its daily service to Hyderabad on Monday.
Air Arabia is connected to 31 destinations globally and 12 destinations in India. Hyderabad is Air Arabia's 43rd global destination, reinforcing its status as the largest destination network in India of any West Asia-based carrier.
Currently, Air Arabia provides direct service to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
The inaugural flight of Air Arabia to Hyderabad landed at 0530 hrs on Monday.
The A320 aircraft received a water cannon salute from the fire-fighters-panthers- at the rapid exit way.
It docked successfully at Bay no 56 and took off later at 0615 hrs.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited director C Prasanna, chief operating officer Peter Noyce and chief commercial officer Viswanath Attaluri were present on the occasion.
The schedule-Air Arabia flight will fly to Hyderabad daily, departing Sharjah at 0020 hrs, arriving in Hyderabad at 0530 hrs. Return flights will depart Hyderabad at 0615 hrs and arrive in Sharjah at 0840 hrs.
The A320 aircraft can accommodate 162 passengers.
