Malayali comedian Bobby Kottarakkara passes away
Malayali comedian Bobby Kottarakkara died of a heart attack in Thiruvanathapuram on Sunday morning. He was 48.
He acted in more than 300 Malayalam films and is survived by his mother, three sisters and three brothers. He was a bachelor.
P Abdul Aziz, better known as Bobby Kottarakkara, was in Thiruvananthapuram in connection with the shooting of Rajeev Kumar's Vakkalathu Narayanan Kutty. He died on the way to the Medical College Hospital at 0200 hours after he suffered a major heart attack.
Bobby, who won the hearts of many with his dialogue delivery and style, started his career as a mimic and story-
teller. He acted in a few plays before entering filmdom through Eval Oru Nadodi.
Hundreds of fans and leading personalities from the film world paid their last respects to the actor at the Kalabhavan Theatre where his body was placed for public homage. Kerala Film Akademi chairman Shaji N Karun, actors Jayaram, Ashokan and Indran and directors Balachandra Menon and Lenin Rajendran were among those who paid tribute.
