Kajol disappears!

It was an audio release with a difference -- no cassette/CD actually was released.

Which was only one of the odd things about the party held recently to release the music of Devgan Entertainment & Software Ltd's Raju Chacha at Hotel Sun-N-Sand, Juhu, Bombay.

Generally, such functions have a guest of honour who formally releases the cassettes and CDs.

Like we said, no such thing took place at this party.

Then, Ajay Devgan, usually a mild-mannered person, got a bit agitated when the media rushed to photograph the film's leading artistes as they took their place on the stage. He even berated the former with a few harsh words.

To his credit, though, he almost immediately regained his composure and was his usual polite self within minutes.

Rishi Kapoor, making a comeback as a business tycoon in Raju Chacha, was scheduled to arrive at the party "at any moment." The emcee repeatedly announced that yesteryear teen idol would arrive at 11 pm.

There was no sign of him till almost after midnight. He probably made it after the last guest had left!

What raised more than a few eyebrows, though, was Kajol's cameo appearance. The actress zoomed in and out of the party with mother Tanuja and father Shomu Mukherjee.

Strange, considering Raju Chacha is hubby Ajay's home production, in which she plays the female lead.

Raju Chacha is slated for a world premiere on December 28 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Los Angeles, USA. This will be the first ever Bollywood film to have its world premiere in Hollywood.
