Manohar Singh passes away
Veteran actor Manohar Singh died on November 14 after a prolonged illness. He was 64.
Singh, who had been suffering from lung cancer for the last two-and-a-half years breathed his last this morning at the Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, family sources said.
After a long association with with the National School of Drama (NSD) as Chief of its Repertory Company, Singh later went to Mumbai, where he played character roles in films like Party, Daddy, New Delhi Times, Damul, Ek Din Achanak, Daddy, Diksha, Darpan, Parvat Putra and Bhairavi.
He also acted in several television serials, including Dard, Gumraah, Palchin, Raag Darbari and Mahayagya. Among major plays in which he acted are Othello, Tughlaq, Danton's Death, King Lear and Nagamandal.
Singh, whose wife passed away two months ago, is survived by two daughters and a son.
