RJD to contest 13 seats in OrissaThe Rashtriya Janata Dal-led front will contest 13 out of Orissa's 21 seats. RJD Orissa unit president Bhagabat Behera said the 13 constituencies are Cuttack, Puri, Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Jagatsingpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur and Behrampur. Behera indicated that he might contest from Bhubaneswar for the Lok Sabha. He said the Front consists of eight regional parties, such as the Lok Shakthi and the Bahujan Samaj Party. The Front will fight against the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party-Biju Janata Dal alliance in Orissa, he said. Behera said former prime minister Chandra Shekhar, former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav and BSP supremo Kanshi Ram are expected to address election rallies for the Front. According to a board agreement reached between the Front partners in Orissa, the RJD will contest 13 seats, the BSP four, the Samajwadi Janata Party one, the Lok Sakthi one and the Biro Oriya Party one.
