Bhandari will stay as Bihar governor, says AdvaniSunder Singh Bhandari will continue as Bihar governor, Home Minister L K Advani said in New Delhi today. The issue regarding the fate of the Bihar governor was sorted out after Advani spoke to Bhandari. Advani also conveyed to Bhandari the Centre's desire that he should continue as the governor. ''My reference to possibility of an apolitical administration in the state during President's rule has created unfortunate misunderstanding... My statement has no relation whatsoever to the ability and administrative competitiveness of Bhandari ji, who is one of the ablest administrators of the country and held in high esteem for his simplicity and integrity," Advani said. Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee requested Bhandari to attend the National Development Council meeting, which he agreed to do. UNI
