One militant and a policeman were killed and two other security personnel injured in a gun battle in dense Raika forest near Jammu on Friday.
The militant killed, police suspect, was involved in last month's Qasim Nagar massacre.
Sub-inspector Ranbir Thakur, who was injured in the encounter, died in a hospital in Jammu.
Two constables -- Rajinder Kumar and Jaswant Singh - were killed on Thursday in an encounter with a group of militants in the same area.
