The government, which convened a high level meeting on Thursday to decide its strategy in response to the terrorist attack near Jammu, will spell out its stand in Parliament on Friday.
This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah who was among those who attended the meeting convened by Union Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani in his office in North Block.
He said that the meeting, attended by Defence Minister George Fernandes, Ministers of State for Home I D Swami and C Vidyasagar Rao, senior army and other officials, discussed all aspects of the country's security scenario in the context of the recent terrorist attack in J&K.
Though he refused to reveal what transpired at the meeting explaining that Parliament is in session, he said that 'Pakistan is not going to stop the war it has unleashed against India'.
Meanwhile, National Democratic Alliance leaders would meet on Thursday evening over dinner at Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Race Course Road residence to discuss the issue.
Director General of Military Operations Lt Gen S S Chahal, Director General of Military Intelligence Lt Gen O S Lohchab, BSF chief Gurbachan Jagat, Home Secretary Kamal Pande, Intelligence Bureau Director K P Singh and other senior military and civil officials were among those present at the meeting.
