Two Lashkar terrorists killed in Sopore

The two terrorists, believed to be members of a suicide squad, were killed at the main gate of the headquarters of 22 Rashtriya Rifles at Manzbug, they said.

Two Kalashnikov rifles, six grenades and some ammunition were recovered from the scene, the sources said.

In other incidents, a jawan was killed and another injured in firing from across the border in Poonch district on Sunday night, the sources said.

Veer Singh was killed and Khushal Singh was injured when Pakistani troops targeted with light arms Makki post in Khari-Karmara sub-sector of Poonch, they said.

Terrorists abducted a person from his residence in Handwara area in Kupwara district and later beheaded him, the sources said.

Terrorists fired at security forces at Shopian in Pulwama district and set off an improvised explosive device in Baramulla, but there were no reports of any casualties.
