Screening Test For Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualifications

The National Board of Examinations has been entrusted by the Government of India to conduct the Screening Test for Indian nationals with foreign medical qualifications. The purpose of the screening test shall be only to qualify for his or her registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council and qualifying the same shall not confer any other right whatsoever on a candidate.

The examination will be held on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, 2003, at Delhi.

The venue of the examination will be intimated to the candidate individually and can also be seen on the web site www.natboard.nic.in

Bulletin of Information and the Application Form can be obtained from:

1. Assistant Controller of Examination, National Board of Examinations, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi 110 029. Through bank draft of Rs 500 drawn in favour of National Board of Examinations payable at New Delhi.

2. Forms can also be downloaded from www.natboard.nic.in The downloaded forms must be accompanied by a demand draft of Rs 3,500 (form + exam fee) drawn in favour of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

The envelopes may be superscribed 'Application for Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualifications.'

Instructions contained in the current Bulletin for the September 2003 examination should alone be consulted for filling up the application form.

Application form duly completed with all particulars should reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations latest by  August 8, 2003.

Applications received after the last date will not be considered under any circumstances.

Incomplete application forms without requisite enclosures are liable to be rejected and no correspondence whatsoever will be entertained in this regard.

Call Centre Training

A programme open for graduates/students in their final year.

SIES is a well-known educational institution in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Reliance Infostreams is in the Call Centre business and related services supporting Reliance Infocomm. One of its ambitions is to have a substantial trained Call Centre workforce.

SIES offers Basic Call Centre Apprenticeship Courses and Advance Level Call Centre Certification Courses. The course will be part-time, 150 hours, four hours daily. As part of the curriculum students would get an exposure to the working of the Reliance Call Centre.

Faculty for the programme has been trained by SIES and Reliance Infostreams and the course curriculum has been designed jointly by SIES and Reliance Infostreams.

TAPMI, Admissions 2004-2006

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
Post Graduate Diploma In Entrepreneurship & Management (PGDEM)

TAPMI's  two-year residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme at Manipal, is recognized by AICTE and awarded equivalence with MBA by the Association of Indian Universities. TAPMI offers specialization in marketing, finance, human resources, entrepreneurship, systems and general management.

ELIGIBILITY:  A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline, recognized by AIU as eligible for Post Graduation, with not less than 50% in overall aggregate (45% for SC/ST). The same requirement applies to those with qualifications like ACA/ICWA/ACS. Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination in 2004 can also apply.

WEIGHTAGE:  Some weightage is given to candidates with work experience and/or sponsored by their organisations. However, such candidates have to go through the same selection process as others.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE: Candidates seeking admission to the above programmes should appear for the Common Admission Test to be conducted by IIMs on November 23, 2003. CAT is used for short-listing candidates who apply for admission to TAPMI. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Apply to TAPMI by filling a separate Application Form, furnishing CAT registration number and centre number.

TAPMI's Application Form and Handbook for Admissions: These will be sold at State Bank of India branches where CAT forms are available. Application forms are also available at select ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank and Corporation Bank branches from July 14, 2003. Addresses of these branches can be found on the TAPMI web site.

Candidates may also receive the application form and handbook for admissions by registered post-speed post/courier by sending a DD for Rs 1000 (Rs 750 for SC/ST) drawn in favour of T A Pai Management Institute, payable either at Manipal or Udupi before November 29, 2003. Application forms can also be downloaded from www.tapmi.org and submitted with the bank draft.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores will be called for Group Discussion and Interviews for final selection in Manipal during April 2004.

The last date for receiving completed application forms is December 6, 2003.
