It is all hi-tech at the Bharatiya Janata Party conclave in Mumbai to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the party.

A special daily newspaper, live webcast of all events, internet-connected personal computers for journalists to cover various programmes and grand stage performances will all be part of the celebrations that will kick off later Monday evening.

To be held amid tight security under the supervision of BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan, the two-day national executive of the party would be followed by the three-day national convention, in which more than 4,000 party delegates will take part.

The celebrations are being held at the Bandra Reclamation ground, where the party was launched 25 years ago with Atal Bihari Vajpayee as president and Lal Kishenchand Advani as general secretary.

However, the re-enactment of the 1980 launch would be different from the original event in many respects.

While M C Chagla, a non-party leader was one of the key speakers at the first conclave, no leaders from any other organisation has been invited for the three-day convention beginning December 28.

The party's national executive, which will begin with the party president's address, will conlude Tuesday, adopting at least three resolutions -- political, economic and foreign affairs. The meeting would also deliberate on the party's strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls in five states, he said.
