Interpol has detained Rahil Sheikh, an accused in the July 2006 Mumbai train blasts, at London airport, police sources said on Tuesday.
Sheikh was wanted for allegedly providing funds for carrying out the explosions which claimed 185 lives and left over 400 injured. He was detained on the basis of a red corner notice issued against him by the interpol, the sources said, adding the international police body has informed the Mumbai police about the detention.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Mumbai police, which probed the blasts, has so far chargsheeted 28 accused in the case.
