Party pressure may force Advani to contest from GujaratThe Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to persuade party president Lal Kishinchand Advani to contest the forthcoming general election. Disclosing that the party's cadres have opposed Advani's decision against contesting the poll, sources said the BJP national executive meeting -- beginning in Bhubaneswar on Friday -- will make a formal request in this regard. Sensing the party's mood, Advani is thinking of contesting again from Gandhinagar, the source said. UNI |
