Gujarat governor may impose President's ruleGujarat Governor Krishnapal Singh may impose President's rule in the state, following the demand made by the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party. The parties have been opposing the continuation of Rashtriya Janata Party leader Dilip Parikh as caretaker chief minister, following the dissolution of the assembly on Thursday. Senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, however, went a step further. He urged President K R Narayanan to remove the governor for ''his partisan and arbitrary role in the dissolution of the assembly''. He alleged that the decision was taken without consulting the President and Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral.
