After showcasing the Rs 1-lakh (Rs 100,000) people's car at the Delhi Auto Expo, Tata Motors is now set to display Nano at the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit 2009.

According to sources close to the development, the car will be displayed for global as well as domestic investors attending the summit.

Moreover, Tata Motors will also sign a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat government during the event.

Meanwhile, pre-construction work has begun at the Nano plant site in Sanand near Ahmedabad. Spread across an area of 1,100 acres of land, the plant will bear an investment of Rs 2,000 crore (Rs 20 billion).

The plant, to begin with, will manufacture 250,000 cars per annum and will be expandable up to five lakh.

As per the agreement, Tatas would also undertake a number of initiatives for human resource development in the state, including setting up of ITIs.

The company is also facilitating setting up of a Vendors' Park wherein together with Tata Motors, about 60 vendors would also move to the new location.
