New Air-India MD takes charge

E.K. Bharat Bhushan has assumed charge as chairman & managing director of the National Aviation Company of India Limited.

Bharat Bhushan will discharge functions of chairman & managing director, NACIL, in addition to his own duties as joint secretary & financial advisor, ministry of civil aviation, Government of India.

Bharat Bhushan, born in Calicut on January 14, 1955, did his post graduation in English from the University of Kerala.

He obtained a master's degree in Public Administration in 1992 from the Harvard University, where he was an Edward Mason International Fellow. 

He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1979 and has since then held various positions in the State of Kerala as well as the Government of India,  including that of secretary, industries and commerce,  Kerala; joint secretary, ministry of trade & commerce, Government of India; principal secretary, tourism,  government of Kerala.
