Tata Teleservices Ltd said on Tuesday it has launched a data plan for its BlackBerry service subscribers, offering unlimited data usage for a monthly charge of Rs 299.
The new Silver data plan provides customers with unlimited data for accessing up to 10 supported e-mail accounts, plus an optional BlackBerry email address, and popular instant messaging (IM) services at the low monthly rate of just Rs 299, TTSL said.
The MaiLite plan would be available for BlackBerry 8830 and BlackBerry 8703e smartphones, it added.
"This is a paradigm shift in the proliferation of email access by mobile users. I am confident that this proposition will interest a broad range of users and we are glad to offer them a competitive tariff and handset price for the BlackBerry solution," TTSL senior vice president (marketing) Pradeep Dwivedi said.
