The government on Monday announced the extension of stimulus package, including a 10 per cent increase in government advertisement rates, given to print media for another six months ending this December.
In his Budget speech, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee [ Images ] said the stimulus package given in February this year has been extended from June 30 to December 31.
"In February this year, the print media was given a stimulus package comprising waiver of 15 per cent agency commission on DAVP advertisements and a 10 per cent increase in the DAVP rates to be paid as special relief subject to documentary proof of loss of revenue in non-governmental advertisements," he said.
