PM hails Pranab's Budget

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ] hailed Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee's [ Images ] Budget for 2009-10 presented in Parliament on Monday, saying that the finance minister 'has done an admirable job'.

"This is a good budget, we are looking at growth in the medium term. 8-9 % growth is achieveable," the prime minister said. 

The main aim of the budget is to minimise the impact of global recession, hea dded and called the Budget 'rural development-oriented.'
