Satyam Computer on Monday said it has appointed Venki Prathivadi as the country manager for its Australia and New Zealand operations.
Satyam has also appointed Vijay Prasad as principal adviser for the firm's Australia and New Zealand region, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The appointment of Prathivadi comes within a week after Satyam confirmed that its Australia head Deepak Nangia has put in his papers to "pursue better opportunities outside the company".
Prathivadi was the second in line to Nangia and has been associated with the firm for the last seven years.
While Prathivadi would direct all activities of the company in the two countries, including customer relationship management, solution development, service delivery, sales and support, Prasad would provide advisory services to build leadership in ANZ and would be based in Sydney, it said.
"Satyam has established a prominent position in Australia and New Zealand in fairly short order. We enjoy strong relationships with leading clients across key verticals," Prathivadi said.
The company operates major solution centres across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Recently, Satyam Computer was acquired by IT firm Tech Mahindra through its subsidiary Venturbay Consultants.
