Hinduja Global Solutions, an outsourcing solutions firm, said on Friday it plans to invest $2.5 million to add 1,000 seats at its Manila centre.

"The company has received an LOI (Letter of Interest) from one of its clients for incremental business, which will require additional capacity of 300 seats. Based on this and visibility of incremental demand from other existing clients, HGSL will increase the number of seats in Manila by 1,000," HGSL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

This will take the total seats in that region to 3,150, it added.

The additional facility will be constructed at an estimated cost of $2.5 million, which will be funded through internal accruals, it said.

"This incremental business flow from our existing clients is a testimony to the quality of our service offering. We are encouraged by the fact that we are able to drive traction in a difficult market like the US market and in the present challenged BFSI space," HGSL chief executive officer Partha De Sarkar said.
