SBI cuts lending rate by 0.5%

State Bank of India on Wednesday said it has cut its benchmark prime lending rate (BPLR) by 0.50 per cent with effect from June 29.

The new rate now stands at 11.75 per cent as against the earlier 12.25 per cent, the public sector lender said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
