The wholesale price-based index stood at 8.27 per cent during the corresponding week a year ago.

This is the eighth week in a row when inflation stood below the one per cent mark.

During the week, prices of tea were up seven per cent, bajra three per cent, arhar two per cent, and milk, wheat and spices were dearer by one per cent each.

The index for fuel, power, light and lubricants remained unchanged at the previous week's level.
