President Pratibha Patil will make the customary address to the first and brief joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha marking the beginning of the new House, Lok Sabha Secretary General P D T Achary said.
This brief session is expected to be convened after the election results are out and new House is constituted which does that job within two to three days after the results are declared.
"If the new session starts in the first week of June after the brief session, then the full Budget session will go on till August. So, there will be no monsoon session," Achary said. A separate monsoon session which generally starts in mid-July and goes on till August, may not be there this year, he said.
Achary said during the first two days of the constitution of new Lok Sabha, newly elected members would be administered oath by a pro-tem Speaker who would be the senior most among the MPs followed by election of the Speaker.
He said the Lok Sabha Secretariat has made extensive arrangements to render all possible assistance, including accommodation to the newly elected MPs so that they do not face any inconvenience when they come to Delhi.
