Putting to rest speculations over the price of its recently launched Mini booklet 3G, Finnish handset major Nokia on Wednesday said it will retail globally the personal computer at 575 euro (about Rs 40,000).

However, customers in India will have to wait for some time to experience the booklet, which marks the entry of the world's largest mobile phone maker into personal computer space, as the netbook would not be made available in India in the first phase.

"We will launch the product in selected market in the

first phase. India is an important market for us and we will launch the product there in future but not in the first phase," Nokia executive vice president (mobile phones) Kai Ostamo said.

However, he added that the absence of 3G network in India is not a deterrent for the launch of 3G netbook as it can work on 2G and 2.5 G networks as well.

"We will continue to bring innovative products in the Indian market," he added.

Besides the price, the handset maker also announced the launch of two new devices in the music series phones and a new version of its flagship smartphone-N97, upping its competition against global rivals like Apple and RIM, the makers of Blackberry devices.
