The foreign currency assets (FCA), during the week, declined to $260.523-billion from $260.938 billion in the week-ago period, RBI said in its weekly report on Friday.
Foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms includes the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US currencies (such as Euro, Sterling, Yen) held in reserves, RBI said.
Gold reserves, during the week, remained unchanged at $9.671 billion while the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) stood at $4.821 billion, the RBI said.
During the week, country's reserve position in the international monetary fund stood almost unchanged at $1.347 billion, the central bank said.
