Yahoo Inc. is all set to unveil a whopping $100 million aggressive advertising campaign.

The campaign will kick off in the United States on September 28, and move to the United Kingdom and India on October 5. The big budget brand-building exercise will begin in other markets like Brazil, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, and Taiwan in 2010.

Under Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz, the Internet major is striving hard to build its reputation and connect with more people across the world in its biggest advertising campaign so far.

"Today the Web and your world are inseparable," said Carol Bartz, CEO, Yahoo! in a statement.  "Hundreds of millions of people use Yahoo! to get the information they need, connect with friends and family, and be entertained. We are about creating online experiences people find meaningful, relevant, and fun, " she said.

Yahoo! has gone through a rough patch after losing its market share in search and online advertising to Google, it has also seen several top executives leaving the company and a series of layoffs.

The advertisement campaign is an attempt to revive its lost fortunes and make it more user friendly. The company's new tagline, 'It's Y!ou', emphasising its focus on the customers. Yahoo! has about 580 million visitors every month from around the world.

The company says extensive consumer research led to Yahoo's brand campaign. Inputs from millions of Yahoo! users all over the globe stressed on the importance of simplification and personal relevance.

"We're quite serious about our vision to be the centre of people's online lives. You'll find us what might seem like everywhere online, on network and cable TV on the radio, in print, and outdoor," Elisa Steele, chief marketing officer, Yahoo said in a statement.
