Kingfisher Airlines on Thursday said it has launched the New Delhi-Hong Kong flight as part of its plans to expand international operations.
The airline flagged off its first flight on the route on Wednesday. It has deployed an Airbus A330 aircraft for the service, the carrier said in a statement.
"Given the strong linkages between India and Hong Kong, we believe that there is untapped potential and these new routes will serve the unmet needs of corporate and leisure flyers," Kingfisher Airlines chairman Vijay Mallya said.
This is the second international destination to be served by Kingfisher Airlines out of New Delhi and flights on this route will operate six times a week.
The carrier will start flights to three more international destinations from New Delhi and three new overseas locations from Mumbai over the coming weeks.
