Global transport solutions provider, Bombardier Aerospace expects to sell around 250 business jets to India over the next 10-years, a top company official said.
Besides, the company is also eyeing a sale of 500-600 commercial aircraft to customers in India over the next 20-years, the official said.
"We expect to sell 250 business aircraft in the next 10-years and 500-600 commercial jets in the next 20-years," Bombardier's president (customer services and specialised and amphibious aircraft), James Hoblyn, said.
Currently, national air-carrier Air India and private airline, Jet Airways have Bombardier aircraft in their fleet.
"In the Asia-Pacific region, the company is looking at selling 1,030 planes over the next 10-years," Hoblyn said.
To support its growing business in India, the company has set-up a Regional Support Office in Mumbai, which would cater to customers of both its business as well commercial jets.
"The Asia-Pacific region is an important market and we are moving decisively to expand our services and support our presence there so that our customers can benefit from strong working relationships and quick response times in their own backyard," Hoblyn said.
The Mumbai office is Bombardier's fifth RSO to open in the past three-years outside North America. The company also plans to set-up similar offices for its business aircraft in Dubai and Shanghai by the year-end, he said.
