Air connectivity to the Sahara group-owned Aamby Valley city, located between Mumbai and Pune, will be launched on Friday with five flights a week between Mumbai and the city.
Another flight would connect Aamby Valley with Delhi.
The flight services would be operated by air services provider, Air One. "Flight operations would commence from tomorrow," Sahara India chairman Subrata Roy told reporterson Thursday.
"Aamby Valley city is being developed with a view of making it the most sought-after address and the first-homefor many. These services will add to the best living experience of Aamby Valley City citizens and visitors," Roy said.
AfterMumbai and Delhi, flight services would be introduced to connect other cities as well, he added.
The city is currently home to around 800residents, he said. Sahara has invested Rs 80 crore (Rs 800 million) in the private airport which has been opened for commercial use for the first time.
