NSE, BSE to hold special trading session on Saturday

IPOThe country's two prime bourses Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange will carry out a special 90-minute trading session on Saturday to help NSE test an upgrade its trading system.

The special live trading session on February 6, in cash and futures segments, would open at 11 am and close at 12:30 pm, NSE and BSE said in separate circulars.

"The exchange (NSE) is upgrading the capacity of capital market trading system by implementation of horizontally scalable architecture. Towards this, the exchange is conducting a special live trading session on Saturday, February 6," the NSE stated.

In view of the NSE's special session, the BSE stated that it would also trade on Saturday this week.

"The facility to enter block deal orders on Saturday, February 6, 2010, will be available from 11.00 am to 11.35 am," the BSE circular added.

The trades done on February 6 would be settled on February 9 as a separate settlement.
