GoogleLooking to provide relevant news in tune with individual user tastes, Google is all set to revamp its news homepage.

The changes will not only ensure headlines that are automatically tailored to individual interests, but also allow users to chose preferred news sources, according to Google.

The Internet major said it is revamping the Google News homepage with several changes designed to make the news that 'you see more relevant to you'.

"We're also trying to better highlight interesting stories you didn't know existed and to make it easier for you to share stories through social networks," Kevin Stolt, a software engineer at Google, wrote in a blog on Wednesday.

Users would also have the option of choosing which news sources they would like to see 'more or less often'.

In addition, there would be links to topics that many outlets are covering on the news homepage.

"The redesigned Google News homepage is rolling out today (June 30) in the English-language edition in the US, and we plan to expand it to all editions in the coming months," Stolt said.

According to the blog, users would also be able to easily share story clusters with other people via Buzz, Reader, Facebook or Twitter.
