AI to run additional flights to Riyadh, Dammam

National air carrier Air India on Wednesday said it will launch additional direct flights from here to Saudi Arabian cities Riyad and Dammam from June 11 in view of the heavy rush of passengers to the busy Gulf sector.

The services that would commence from June 11 would continue up to October 30, benefitting air passengers of six north Kerala districts, Air India said in a statement.

AI-901/902 Calicut-Riyadh-Calicut that is scheduled to operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday would depart Calicut at 0615 IST to arrive Riyadh at 0825 local time.

In its return journey, the flight would depart Riyadh at 0930 local time and reach Calicut at 1700 IST. AI 917/918 Calicut-Dammam-Calicut flight that operates on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday would leave Calicut at 0615 IST to arrive Dammam at 0800 local time. It would depart Dammam at 0950 local time to arrive Calicut at 1700 IST, the statement said.
