Tourism finally picking up in Kerala

The Indian tourism industry hopes to recover from the setback of global economic recession as Kerala, better known as God's Own Country, witnesses the arrival of tourists yet again.

The Alleppey district in the state houses some of the most popular backwaters where tourists come to enjoy boat rides amid lush green and serene surroundings.

George, a tourist from Holland, said that the global financial crunch has not deterred him from traveling far and wide.
