India not to accept legally binding carbon cuts

Ahead of the Copenhagen summit, Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said on Tuesday that India would subject to voluntary emission cuts and not accept any legally binding emission cuts.

International community has been building pressure on India after US President Barack Obama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao announced commitments to reduce emissions.
