Budget 2009 faces flak from opposition parties

India's opposition parties have strongly criticised the General Budget presented by the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Monday.

CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat felt the government's Budget did very little for the common man and only catered to certain sections of the country.
