Crowds thronged to catch a glimpse of the Rs 1 lakh 'people's car' as they drove down the cars at Sanatnagar.

The consignment of 50 vehicles reached Hyderabad from the Pantnagar unit of Tata Motors.

Cocorde Motors, which is part of the Tata conglomerate will be among the few dealers who will be delivering the first batch of Nano cars to the lucky customers.

"By the end of the month, the number of Nano cars to be delivered in Hyderabad will rise to 100", said one of the dealers.

The world's cheapest car has evoked much excitement in the market and bulk of the bookings have come from non-metros. People are anxiously waiting to be among the first to own the Nano.
