Wipro countering meltdown successfully

With a 13 per cent rise in quarterly profit, India's third-largest software services exporter, Wipro limited, said on Wednesday that it was adapting successfully to the global meltdown.

The company posted its third consecutive quarter-on-quarter decline in IT services revenue due to the challenging business environment.

Wipro chairman Azim Premji said the results were satisfying.
