Continuous shutdown takes toll on tourism in J&K

Continued shutdowns and violence over the over the alleged rape and murder of two Muslim women by security forces has taken a toll on tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.

The locals have now started feeling the pinch of the shutdown, which has caused a downslide in the tourism sector.

Around 20 per cent of the bookings have been cancelled in the past few days.

Tourists who were visiting the region have left due to the protests and agitations.
