Manufacturing industries affected by global crisis

The micro industries in Tamil Nadu have been adversely affected by the economic meltdown.

In the recent past, Tamil Nadu has emerged as a major hub for the engineering industry and has played host to micro, small and medium firms. They produce equipment that includes small spares to large machinery and mainly supply to large engineering companies like Ashok Leyland, Maruti, Reliance, ISRO, BHEL, etc.

In this category, the most affected are the micro industries.
