Jet Airways raises fuel surcharge

Jet Airways on Wednesday said it has raised the fuel surcharge on tickets by Rs 400 across all domestic sectors.

The newly decided fares have been made applicable from June 17.

The move comes a day after state-run oil firms raised jet fuel prices by over 12 per cent from June 16.

Jet Airways in a statement said the increase would be applicable on all flights of Jet Airways, Jet Airways Konnect and JetLite.

Kingfisher Airlines too announced a hike in fuel surcharge by Rs 400 on all domestic sectors. As has budget air carrier SpiceJet. Both airlines have said the price change would take place with immediate effect.

Other airlines are likely to follow suit.
