Tata Group: Global rank -- 11
The Tata Group has been named the world's eleventh most reputed company, according to a study compiled by United States-based Reputation Institute.
Not just that, the Tata Group, whose Global Pulse Score was put at 80.89, has been ranked above global giants like Google, Microsoft, General Electric, Toyota, Coca-Cola, Intel, Univler, et cetera.
The Reputation Institute's Global Pulse is a measure of corporate reputation calculated by averaging perceptions of four main indicators -- trust, esteem, admiration, and good feeling -- obtained from a representative sample of at least 100 respondents in the companies' home countries. The Global Pulse scores are on a scale of 0 to 100.
Tata Group is one of India's largest industrial conglomerates and runs more than 98 firms.
For the record, Italian confectioner Ferrero has been ranked the world's most reputable business entity.

India's largest bank, SBI, is the world's 29th most reputable company. It got a Global Pulse Score of 78.11.
Infosys Technologies: Global rank -- 39
India's second largest software exporter Infosys Technologies in the Top-50 league at 39th position, with a Global Pulse Score of 77.45.
Larsen & Toubro: Global rank -- 47
With a Global Pulse Score of 76.58, L&T has been ranked the world's 47th most reputable company.
Maruti: Global rank -- 49
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzki has been ranked the 49th most reputable company in the world with a Global Pulse Score of 76.26.
Hindustan Unilever: Global rank -- 69
The FMCG major, HUL, has beaten its parent company, Unilever, to be ranked 69th in the world. It obtained a Global Pulse Score of 74.99.
ITC Ltd: Global rank -- 95
The tobacco major obtained a Global Pulse Score of 73.50 and has been ranked the 95th most reputable company in the world.
Canara Bank: Global rank -- 102
Indian banking major Canara Bank has been ranked the 102nd most reputable company in the world with a Global Pulse Score of 73.34.
Hindustan Petroleum: Global rank -- 111
