Profitable PSUs to divest 10 per cent equity

Home Minister, P Chidambaram announced on Thursday that all profitable public sector undertakings are to give 10 per cent equity to the public.

The funds from such sale would be directly deployed for social sector schemes, instead of being routed through the National Investment Fund.
