The world's fastest car, Ultimate Aero, is all set to hit the Indian roads.
With an astronomical price tag of Rs 6 crore (Rs 60 million), the car will be the most expensive to be sold in India, according to an Economic Times report.
It was a passion for racing that inspired Jerod Shelby to design this dream car. On September 13th 2007, seven years after the company came into existence, the Ultimate Aero became the world's fastest production car, certified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Guinness officials verified the official speed to be .52 kph (.32 mph) faster than SSC had originally noted.
This breaks the current official record held by the Koenigsegg CCR at 388 kph by 24.28 kph (15.09 mph) and the Bugatti Veyron's unofficial speed of 408.47 kph by 5.84 kph (3.63 mph).
The aerobrake system has been introduced in this car, which is a rear spoiler system that can be controlled by a switch.
The interiors are mostly designed with carbon fibres that bound the doors, steering column, speedometer and tachometer.
SSC has plans for a 220+ mph 4 door, luxury, sports sedan. SSC plans to implement green technology into its super cars in the near future.
