Carmakers like Volkswagen, BMW, Nissan, Ford, Fiat, Skoda, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Toyota are all set to make 2010 a delightful year for Indian car lovers by launching an array of interesting models across segments.

Maruti Kizashi, Maruti Cervo

India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will roll out the red carpet for Maruti Cervo and Maruti Kizashi in 2010.

Kizashi, the luxury sedan from the Suzuki stable, will be launched in February and will be priced at Rs 10-12 lakh (Rs 1-1.2 million).

Volkswagen Phaeton, Volkswagen Polo

Volkswagen Phaeton and Volkswagen Polo would be the latest products by the car maker for the Indian market. Both the cars would be seen on Indian roads by March.

Skoda Yeti

The German auto manufacturer Skoda would roll out its globally popular SUV, Yeti, in the first quarter of 2010 in India.

At Rs 12-16 lakh (Rs 1.2-1.6 million), the car is Skoda's answer to Tata Safari, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Captiva and Toyota Fortuner.

Toyota Avanza, Toyota Etios, Toyota Prius

This year will see the launch of Toyota Avanza, Toyota Etios and Toyota Prius in India. Toyota Etios will be launched in both the hatchback and sedan variants.

The sedan will be launched later this year and the hatchback will follow in early-2011. Toyota Avanza, a multi-utility vehicle, will be launched by the end of this year and will be priced around Rs 6-8 lakh (Rs 600,000-800,000).

Fiat Bravo, Fiat Linea T-Jet, Fiat 500 Diesel

Nissan Micra

Auto major Nissan also plans to launch Micra, a premium hatchback model. Nissan Micra is expected to hit the Indian roads by March, as a joint venture with Renault. The car will be priced in the range of Rs 4-5 lakh (Rs 400,000-500,000).
