Mitsubishi Outlander has undergone a makeover and the 2010 model of the car now has a jet fighter style front look. Outlander's new looks have been inspired from the Outlander GT prototype displayed at last year's New York International Auto Show.

The 2010 Outlander comes with a new headlamp cluster, Lancer Evo inspired 'jet fighter' style front grille, reshaped bumper and hood, new roof rails and door mirrors with integrated turn lights.

However, the rear of the Mitsubishi Outlander remains unchanged and so does its power plant.

The new Outlander would still have the same all-alloy twin-cam 4-cylinder in-line 2.4-litre engine petrol motor that produces 167bhp of power and a max of 23kgm of torque.

Mitsubishi has provided a 6-speed CVT box that enables the Outlander to accelerate from 0-100 in under 10secs. The top speed of the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander is 190kph.

Overhauled looks teamed with a Rs 60,000 price cut make the Mitsubishi Outlander quite desirable in its category.

The Honda CR-V is the current leader in this segment and with a price tag of about Rs 23.58 lakh (Rs 2.4 million).

Outlander is about Rs 200,000 cheaper.
