As many as five women have made it to Forbes India magazine's list of the 100 richest Indians this year, including O P Jindal Group chairperson Savitri Jindal, who surpassed billionaire Anil Ambani to attain fifth position in the list.
1. Savitri Jindal
Jindal was the richest lady in India for the fourth consecutive year, with a net worth of $14.4 billion, says the annual India Rich List compiled by business the magazine.
While ADAG Chairman Ambani slipped from third position last year to sixth in the list this year, with a wealth of $13.3 billion, Jindal has moved up from the seventh slot to the fifth this time.
Jindal, who has been the chairperson of the O P Jindal Group since her husband Om Prakash's demise in 2005, saw her wealth growing by $2.4 billion since November, 2009, when Forbes had last published its annual India rich list.

Shobhana Bhartia of Hindustan Times, with a net worth of $895 million, is the fifth woman on the Richest Indians list. She is ranked 76th.
Interestingly, Bhartia had secured 44th place in another US magazine Fortune's list of the 50 most powerful women worldwide, excluding the US.
Besides Bhartia, three other Indian women -- ICICI Bank MD and CEO Chanda Kochhar, HP India's Neelam Dhawan and Apollo Hospital Group's Preetha Reddy -- featured in the Fortune list.
