A stunning $40 million mansion waiting for buyers!

The splendid sea-facing Versace Villa is up for grabs. The magnificent 10-bedroom mansion once owned by fashion designer Gianni Versace and founder of Gianni Versace S.p.A., an international fashion house, is set to be auctioned. 

The owners are hoping to find a suitable buyer with expected bids of more than $40 million during its auction in September.

After serial killer Andrew Cunanan murdered Gianni Versace in front of this mansion in 1997, Versace’s family members sold the house to Barton G. 

A restaurateur, Barton converted the mansion into a boutique hotel.

Gianni Versace bought the 23,000 sq ft iconic house in 1992 for $2.9 million and he spent a whopping $33 million on a lavish revamp.

The mansion was built in 1930 by architect Alden Freeman.

Among the many luxurious amenities are gold plated bathroom fixtures, a huge swimming pool lined with 24-karat gold, exquisitely designed furniture, elegant statues, open-air courtyard, beach facing terrace and hand-painted walls.

Though the villa went was put up on sale a year ago for $125 million, there were no takers. The property had been serving as boutique hotel till this year.
