BMW launches new version of Z4; costs Rs 68.9 lakh

BMW India has launched a new version of the 2014 BMW Z4 facelift. The updated Z4 was world premiered earlier this year at the Detroit Motor Show in January, and sports exterior and interior changes.

Get your magnifying lens out, for if you which to tell apart a 2014 Z4 from the pre-facelift model, you’ll have to look closely at the side indicators where BMW designers have introduced a small kink.

Apart from this design feature, the rest of the Z4 remains unchanged.

Feature additions come in the form of LED headlights, new alloy wheel design options, additional body colours and an optional contrast roof.

Inside the new Z4, the air conditioning vents receive a black finish, while the centre console gets an anthracite wood finish.

The iDrive system has been upgraded to recognise your iPhone as well.

In India, BMW will offer the Z4 in the sDrive 35i variant. This variant is powered by the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine which was available in the pre-facelifted model.

Power and torque figures are rated at 306 hp and 400 Nm respectively.

With a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox transmitting power to the rear wheels, the Z4 will do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 5.1 seconds and onwards to a top-speed of 250 kmph.
