Tata Motors have launched the CNG variants of the Indica and Indigo eCS. These cars were showcased in June this year at the Horizonext event, and are branded ‘emax’.
The cars will go on sale in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.

Tata Indigo eCS emax
Power comes from the 1.2-litre engine outputting 65 hp and 100 Nm of torque (in petrol mode) and 56 hp and 90 Nm of torque (in CNG mode).
Tata claims a fuel efficiency of 24.6 km/kg on CNG with a range of 230 km, and 650 km on petrol.

Tata has launched two variants of Tata Indigo eCS emax - GLS (Rs 499,000) and GLX (Rs 527,000). The prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
The new Indigo emax has an extremely quiet cabin due to all new NVH package that reduced external noise.

This car delivers a mileage of 23.7 km/kg. It has a range of 230 kms (in CNG) and over 600 km in petrol.
Tata Indica emax price range starts at Rs 399,000 (for GLS variant) and goes up to Rs 426,000 (For GLX variant). The prices mentioned are ex-showroom, New Delhi.

Tata Motors is planning to increase CNG cars in its portfolio. Prior to the launch of these two vehicles, the company had also launched Tata Nano CNG.
Mr. Ankush Arora - Sr. Vice President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (Commercial), Tata Motors, said: “CNG is gaining momentum in the Indian automobile market and we are happy to announce expansion of our CNG portfolio.”
